DVD for the Extraordinary Form of the Mass

The Tridentine Latin MassThis DVD of the Low Mass in the extraordinary form provides two complete versions of the Mass - one from the perspective of the altar boy and one from the perspective of the priest. This video also shows the sacristan setting up the vestments in the traditional manner, as well as the vesting of the priest with the prayers from the 1962 Missale Romanum.

A great feature of this multimedia DVD is the multiple menu options enabling the viewer to skip to just about any part of the Mass.

A feature of this DVD not seen anywhere else is the photo slide show of the various scenes of the Mass. For each of the Menu options listed below, the viewer can either watch a sequence of articualated photographs or a short digital video clip of that scene.

Cardinal Francis George

"In order to better serve Catholics who wish to worship according to the 'Forma extraordinaria', ample and ongoing catechesis in the form of the Mass must be available. This can only be achieved if, first of all, priests and seminarians are prepared to serve this need."

—H. E. Francis Cardinal George
This multimedia DVD can be used in various languages as menu options and titles are in Latin, the Church's universal language. This DVD also features wonderful choral and organ music, demonstrating the approved way of ornamenting the Low Mass with Sacred Music. Among the music included is:
  • Ave Verum, Francis Poulenc (1899 - 1963)
  • Duo Seraphim, Richard Dering (c. 1580 -1630)
  • Cantate Domino, Heinrich Schütz (1585 - 1672)
  • Preludium in C-dur, BWV 545, Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750)
